Here's the whole story
I'm writing this story for a friend because I think it's a good one.
Said friend was about to meet the parents of a girl he'd been dating for a month or so. She was going to pick him up in a couple hours.
Said friend was feeling a little nervous about the whole thing, got dressed early and started pacing the house.
Feeling like a drink might calm his nerves he made himself a cocktail. And it worked. He was feeling much better. So, in his infinite wisdom he thought, "why not have another so I feel conversational and happy?" Well, one led to two which led to three which led to a half-empty bottle of booze.
So, suffice to say, the girl showed up and was not pleased with the state of things. So much so, she uninvited him from the date and never talked to him again.

Just like chain smokers, I wonder if there is such a thing as chain drinkers.

Ohhh, I've got a good one on this topic. Travis called it that day at work... he said I'd be nervous about my date with a super hot skater boy (mmmmm) that evening and I'd end up drinking one too many at the bar we agreed to go to.
Long story short, he and I must've both been extremely nervous because we ended up BLITZED and I had serious hangover hell at work the next day. I also had to make the apologetic "so last night... that's not how I usually am" phone call. ;) Good times.
