So, long story short...

While Travis J. Todd was having Apple Powerbook problems

Travis J. Todd made the mistake of

trusting an Apple 'Genius' to have my computer repaired on time

My Advice to You is

wait it out and have a backup plan

Here's the whole story

Let me preface this by saying I love Apple and even though they employ some questionable characters, I'll still buy all their overpriced gadgets.

But here's the deets: My laptop was doing some weird things with it's keyboard. It was over sensitive and would double-type v's everytime I hit that key. Not really a repair that was absolutely necessary to keep doing my work, but bothersome when I would have to paste things...apple+v...two of everything I pasted.

So, I took it into the Apple Store in St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville, FL. And, well, to make a long story short, and at the risk of not going on a super-long rant, they took about a month and a half to get the right keyboard in and finally get it into my machine. In the course of which, I had to leave the computer there for a week on two separate occasions.

Then to add insult to injury the day after I got it back the LCD backlight gave out. Somehow that repair only took 2 days though. Good thing I have the Apple Care program.

i wish all my ipods wouldn't die the day after the frickin 1 year warranty they come with. someone should buy up all of apple's gadgets, use them for a year and see how many break a week after the warranty is up.

Genius bar is an inconvenient resource. But Apple products are worth the bull.
