So, long story short...

While Travis J. Todd was moving to Europe

Travis J. Todd made the mistake of

trying to use a credit card at IKEA

My Advice to You is

do a little research beforehand, and bring someone with a Debit card.

Here's the whole story

Seriously, what is Europe's aversion to credit cards?! I'm used to not being able to pay in restaurants and markets, but at IKEA?!

I mean, yeah most the stuff is relatively cheap, but they're also selling $4000 couches. How am I supposed to pay for that in cash?

Rant over, I went to IKEA the other day to get some stuff for my new apartment and only spent about €200 on some various things, but when we got to the checkout I was told no credit cards. Completely slack-jawed, I was lucky my girlfriend was there with her German Debit card. Now I owe her a back rub and €200!
