So, long story short...

While Stephen Karpik was Attending a Halloween party

Stephen Karpik made the mistake of

Leaving my Ball Python in the bathroom

My Advice to You is

Never leave your Ball Python where you can't see it!

Here's the whole story

I made the mistake of getting a little tipsy while adorning my beautiful Ball Python snake (Kali) around my neck as part of my costume (A Morbid Bicycle Messenger) - well, as you can imagine, there came a time where I would have to leave Kali in her carrying case while I went off to play in the streets and cause mischief.

I didn't take the time to run down to the basement to grab her carrying case and instead thought (drunkenly) that she might be OK in my art studio bathroom.

I made sure there was no way for her to get out and proceeded to close and lock both doors to the room. I was pretty certain there was no other way out.

I was so terribly wrong.

After about 30 minutes I returned to find an empty bathroom. I searched high and low, determined to find her coiled up in the corner or under some rags or something. But after about an hour of searching in there and the other art studios, I gave up.

It seems that there was a large enough hole below the utility sink which I missed. That must have been her escape route.

I can only assume that she is still in the building, slithering in-between the floorboards and maybe even finding home next to the furnace down in the basement.

I can only hope as I have never seen her since, nor has anyone else.

I miss my Kali.

Well at least you know you'll hear about if someone sees her. Can't miss a big snake slitering around on the ground.
