Joanna’s Story
Categories
So, long story short...
Joanna made the mistake of
thinking I could win back the money I lost at the casinos
My Advice to You is
give yourself a limit and STICK TO IT
Here's the whole story
I just moved to LA a few months ago and 4th of July was coming up. Work gave us Thursday and Friday off - 6 days of vacay! The few friends I had either had plans with family or were out of town, which left me SOL for the holiday weekend. One of my friends from Jax moved to Vegas last year and 2 other people were also there and I decided to visit them rather than sit at home alone. It was my first time in Sin City and I had some extra freelance money to spend... The first night I was down $150 and wanted to cry, the second night I was up to $300 and by the end of the week, I thought fck it... I'm in Vegas!! Every time I was down and would win some money back I'd get greedy and want to double it. Total loss by the end of the trip = $1500. That was on gambling ALONE, no money spent at the clubs or bars. I didn't even take advantage of the free booze at the casinos so I can't blame my stupidity on alcohol. If you're gonna go to Vegas and gamble, go into it KNOWING you're probably gonna lose money... but do yourself a favor and stop early. *sigh

I'm really not surprised. ;)
Those damn casinos...
you and i were in vegas at the exact same time!
did you get shot outside of new york new york? i got shot at, but fortunately no bullets hit me.
No, I managed to take pictures on the bridge outside of NY without getting shot but I did hear about that on the news.
p.s. Is Travis not surprised about you being shot at or my horrible gambling experience? Probably both.
When I went on a cruise, I thought I could "pay my way" with casino winnings......I was wrong
I'll be in Vegas in October. I'll report back here and let you guys know how much I won! =)
