So, long story short...

While Nicki Hines was in a happy relationship

Nicki Hines made the mistake of

telling my mom too much information

My Advice to You is

don't tell your mom negative things about your significant other

Here's the whole story

Just... don't tell someone negative things about someone you're in a relationship with. When you tell someone all the negative stuff, it takes 20 times the amount of positive things to make up for it... especially with parents.

No ranting to mom's. Bad idea. Only good things. Moms never forget anything.

Parents are like acquaintances you love.. people that you wouldn't tell EVERYTHING or go to for EVERY problem, but they are still your parents and you love them to death.

Whoah! this is true, never thought of it that way. But, you could also flip it and not give much info, and that can also be a problem.

I finally figured this one out this past year. Making the shift around this with mom has been challenging and seriously rewarding.
