So, long story short...

My Advice to You is
Leave the quick-dry towel at home, you won't need it.
Here's the whole story
Along with the quick dry towel, unless you know you're going camping, you can probably leave the one-pot-wonder, sleeping mat/bag, and survival knife at home too. I love being self-sufficient when I travel but sometimes it's okay to depend on other people, especially when your host is family.
