So, long story short...

The Ratt made the mistake of

not refusing to remove my hat the first time.

My Advice to You is

Its a free country, if its not posted, say no.

Here's the whole story

Well, the first time I ever went to lemongrass for a birthday party, the hostess rudely removed my hat from my head without asking me and told me it was a policy and handed it back to me. I was so furious I almost lost consciousness. The only reason I didn't is because I was so caught off guard and I didn't want to ruin the birthday so I sucked it up and complied. But then to put gas on the fire, I notice that there is a whole table of kids with hats and blue jeans on. So now I feel singled out. So I vowed never to go back again, until last, a friend had another surprise birthday. But this time I was ready. so sure enough, the second I walk in the door the hostess says your gonna have to take off your hat. I say why, she says its policy. I asked is it posted anywhere? she said no, so I said no, then I wont take it off. so she goes and gets the manager and he says to me, "Sorry its just our policy", so once again i ask, "Is it posted?" he says no. So I say no, then I wont take it off. he than says well its our personal preference for fine dining. then I say, well its my personal preference to not take it off. He then tells me they used to have a sign but if fell down which is a likely story. I then ask him, "does my hat make my money worth any less?" he says off course not, then I say well then whats the problem? I even told him that I was unaware this was fine dining and that I had only came there on last minute notice and really didnt want to reveal my hat head. He then proceeds to tell me me that its usually common sense to take off your hat a a fine dining restaurant, so im now getting pissed, so I tell him that its usually common since that if your restaurant is in a strip mall, its not fine dining! so he finally gives and says, well next time please dont wear a hat, and i said don't worry there wont be a next time. I stayed but didnt eat cause I was scared of what would happen if I did. I know it may sound like Im being a dick, but my point is, If its gonna be a rule make it known and for all, dont single people out because of how they look. If a older man or celebrity came in wearing a hat I bet they wouldn't say a thing. Post It on you door, and I wont come in. Simple as that! what if I had cancer or something? how dumb would they feel then?

Classic stuff there. I'd expect nothing else from you. Try wearing a three piece suit and top hat next time...then see what they say.
