So, long story short...
isamguy0 made the mistake of
bringing along/almost finishing 2/3 a bottle of rum
My Advice to You is
when something is crazy and out of control, just sit back and enjoy with a couple drinks... don't pass out in the surf
Here's the whole story
on koh samui, an island off thailand waiting in the surf with a couple hundred excited international ppl, there are latenrs floating in the sky from some distant location 11pm (thai time) the full moon glistening above the speed boat arrives and 30 of the lucky few make it onto the boat, (this time) we bump and glide across the moonlit ocean toward a dark isle, koh phangan rounding an ominous and bouldered cape the smallest hidden little cove is brillaint and alive with thousands of partiers, music, fire-dancers, drugs, carpets, bars, swimming, dancing etc...
i jump off the nose of the boat onto the beach, hurl my sandals into the darkness and...
i made it until maybe 4 in the morning (mentally) then blacked out and threw up on the beach my travel buddies had to drag me home
which involved an unregulated boat ride a bus ride and a lot of walking
i woke up on the floor of my hotel lobby :( with bruises
but ACTUAL advice is... save your pennies and do something outrageous (just hold back on the drinks)
