So, long story short...
While anonymous was Sylvester in Paris
anonymous made the mistake of
Never try to get a subway train in Paris on Sylvester!!
My Advice to You is
Go much more earlier to the spot where you want to make party!
Here's the whole story
This year I spent my Sylvester Night in Paris, France. So we're in the city and we want to party the new year near the Eiffel Tower. The failure we make was, that we try to take a subway train an hour before midnight to the Eiffel Tower - never do this you have no chance to get in... too much people - so go earlier to your party spot!!

Sounds like a good new year at least. Our landmark in Jacksonville is a blue bridge that's lit up at night. Whoooooo!
