So, long story short...

While Sandro was annoyed

Sandro made the mistake of

Buying a new "quiet" fan for my video card

My Advice to You is

buy a 5 volt molex adapter

Here's the whole story

I've been really annoyed with my desktop computer's video card fan for the past few years. It's a loud fan. The first replacement fan I bought did not fit my video card so when the second fan fit I did not care that it was loud. There's only so much whitenoise a geek can handle! I finally bought a new fan for my computer which has a reputation for being quiet. Now I see why the fan is quiet, it comes with a molex adapter for 5 volts of power or 12 volts of power. My old fan is just as quiet as my new fan when using 5 volts of power.

I'm happy with my new fan but I could have saved some money with this.

Great link. My old computer used to sound like a jet until I finally upgraded.
