Kristy’s Story

So, long story short...
Kristy made the mistake of
always being in long distance relationships
My Advice to You is
don't do it! (especially if it doesn't work the first time!)
Here's the whole story
My first long distance relationship was with the guy I dated from high school. I moved down south to go to UF and we tried to make it work. After one semester, I ended up moving back home for a year to be with him. Then I realized I needed to do what I had wanted for myself which was to be a Gator so I broke it off and moved back down to Fl.
Following summer I met a guy while home on summer break. Moved back to UF again in fall and tried to make that work. It didn't.
And most recently I started dating a guy last fall. Then when I graduated I moved back home with my parents for a month until I found a job. In the meantime the guy, who was in the military, moved to Cali. Then I got my job in Panama City Beach. Thousands of miles! Tried to make that work as well. It didn't.
The lesson: Don't let every relationship you've ever had be long distance. Especially if you try it once and it doesn't work.

weird. I thought the 3rd time was supposed to be the charm?
I agree. I had the same problem. If they're not in the same state as you, its best not to pursue.
Im in one right now! Hell YEAH. Let's do it... and hope it works.
Lui I said I just wanted to be friends.. ugh.. you're so needy.
I am addicted...addicted to LD's...probably because it's so easy to compartmentalize a relationship to fit a schedule. How selfish! Lesson Learn-ed...errr Lesson Learn-ing.
What a load of crap! Just Kidding! I totally agree that I would have some reservations about jumping into another long distance relationship! Past burns leave scars...However, I have come to learn that you can't judge someone by how things went with someone else. Every relationship is different. I think that if its right-long distance is worth it. Its easier to make long distance work than to be w/o them forever. Life's too short.
