Just don't do it. Don't get into the numbers game, no matter how much the other person says "it won't matter," it always does.

yeah...don't do numbers. never turns out well.
this rule goes both way---men get just as freaked out about numbers
You can take this a few ways. I mean, I would like to know, but the number will always stay in the back of my mind. But, I would like to know. If he wants to ask me, then I'll tell him too. Obviously, this is only with someone I plan to sleep with, of course. :-)
