Heather Boggess’ Story

So, long story short...
Heather Boggess made the mistake of
using Hartz flea control medicine
My Advice to You is
NEVER EVER use Hartz products
Here's the whole story
When I first got my kitty (who was older than 12 weeks mind you), who's now 4, he came with a flea. Well, we all know that that one flea somehow multiplies into 150 million fleas...so I got fleas in my house. I was trying to get rid of fleas the cheap/quick/easy way and so I bought some Hartz flea control medicine that you use behind their head. Well, the directions on the box said to start at his head and go all the way down his back. I guess the other lesson learned should have been use common sense with flea products, because I knew that he would be able to lick the medicine on his back. Anyway, I went to bed and hoped the fleas were gone by morning. They were, but I woke up to my kitty seizing and foaming. I took him to the vet where they had to pump him full of vitamins and water to dilute the poison, and couldn't tell me if he would make it or not. Ultimately he did, but I later learned from my vet that there was an ongoing class-action lawsuit against Hartz because their products kill kittens. Come on now!

I am afraid WC might actually buy some of this for his cats after reading this story. I will stand against you in court if you do so WC! Don't try to be like Michael Vick.
WC has cats??!?!?!?!?!?! What?!
I have two Inside Persians who recently got fleas from my dads visiting dog, we used frontline to get the fleas off them which is a good product. Also, not only do you have to kill the fleas on the cat, you need to rid them from your carpet. the home remedy for this is to get this powder called BORAX from publix. sprinkle it on the carpet, let it sit for a couple days then vacuum it up! good luck.
BORAX... niiiiiiiice!
So if it was in a class-action lawsuit...why would it continue to be on the market?? Man, the vet should've given you a warning.
Yeah, I know. I definitely use Frontline now- IF I ever need it. I dunno why it was still on the market. That's a good question. Maybe they "changed" the product or something?
I work in a pharmacy, and ANYTIME there is a lawsuit for a medication for any reason, they pull the meds right off the shelf. Why they don't do this kind of recall for animal products too, is just stupid.
Funny enough. I had a birth control medicine be called back on me before. Gotta love when they're slow on that one.
Luckily there are no little gigantic-headed dennis's running around.
didn't know you were on birth control dennis.. good for you.
