Here's the whole story
Little plaxico, my staffordshire bull terrier and Only Human mascot is growing up. He will be 10 months old tomorrow (Aug 6), and he seems to be doing better about getting into trouble. Or so I thought...
About 3 weeks ago I had to run to the store and figured he could hang out in the house instead of being put in his kennel. Not even 15 minutes later I come back and I find the remnants of 3 blockbuster DVDs. He didn't just chew up the wrapping or the DVD sleeves, he chewed up the DVDs as well! Who eats DVDs?? Blockbuster Online didn't have a "my dog ate my DVD" problem reporting, but I figured it would be in my best interest to say "I damaged them" instead of lying. Turned out okay I guess, I wasn't charged a fee and they sent the same movies out right away.
Apparently dogs needs to be about a year and a half old before being left alone. I think we will give plaxico until he is about 7 years old.

I agree. 12 years ago, I "lost" a brand new Pottery Barn rug. My dog at 11 months pulled a rag from it creating a huge pile of yarn and a stripped canvas. Total time of destruction: 30 minutes. (hang in there - they improve!)
my bathroom rug felt the same fate as your Pottery Barn rug about 6 months ago.. I was going to replace it but decided I will wait until he gets tired of chewing on rugs.

Let's just hope little Plaxico doesn't have the same discipline problems as the football player from which he is named after.
