So, long story short...

anonymous made the mistake of

leaving a full bottle of bleach on its side.

My Advice to You is

Even unopened , tightly sealed bleach bottles will leak.

Here's the whole story

The family and I had just gotten back from a wonderful vacation in the mountains. It was so good to get away from the city and Florida's hot and humid summer. But now it was back to work and the first chore was laundry.

Upon opening the cabinet above the washer, I saw that the shelf was destroyed from bleach leaking out of the bottle that I had laid on its side so it would fit. And then, to make a second stupid mistake, I cleaned it up without using gloves, and now my hands are burning.

I never really thought of it, but should companies put "ride side up" type labels on such substances?

You figure they should. I mean its pretty harsh stuff.

maybe even "right side up" if "ride sight up" doesn't get the point across :)
