So, long story short...

While Travis J. Todd was eating

Travis J. Todd made the mistake of

eating an unripe avocado

My Advice to You is

wait until it's ripe

Here's the whole story

I have an ongoing problem with Avocados. I love them. Especially in Guacamole.

But when I buy them I can never tell when they're ripe. So I leave them out thinking they will ripen and then in a day or two they're moldy and rotten.

I can't win. Anyone know how to tell when an Avocado is ripe?

" When the fruit is ripe, and squeezed, there is a pleasant, soft give to the flesh."

mom said you just have to feel them out, whenever they feel the slightest bit 'not hard' they are ripe.. you can eat them when they get a little, tiny but mush; you can also put them in the fridge to keep for a few more days before getting too mushy.
