Dennis Eusebio’s Story

So, long story short...
Dennis Eusebio made the mistake of
getting in the habit of ignoring my alarm
My Advice to You is
be careful about the habits you form
Here's the whole story
So I've found a way to magically ignore my alarm on full-blast. Granted I can still naturally wake up at 8 am but I usually set the alarm for 6:45am. It all started by getting a point where I could hit the snooze button without even really waking up. Then, I moved on to hitting the snooze button until the alarm actually stops alarming (Yes, that requires you hit it about 5 or 6 times). And finally, I got to a point where I actually put two pillows over my head and could sleep through it on full volume.
Needless to say the alarm almost has no effect anymore and its killing my wake-up routine. So big tip would be to not let this type of thing build up. Or get a dog or cat to jump on you in the morning.

I suffer from this same problem. Its gotten so bad that i have three seperate alarms now, one of which i have to get out of bed to turn off and i still somehow manage to get up half asleep and turn it off. The other two have magically been turned off in my sleep on many occasions as well. Its gotten to where my body dictates when its gonna get up, not my alarms.
This too has been my life. I suffered from super stressed out mornings (I hated mornings) ... so I bought bigger alarms. When that didn't work, I moved them across the room so I would have to get out of bed to turn them off. Guess what? Still didn't work.
Then I started dating a guy who never needed an alarm to wake up. He just had to look at the clock before he went to sleep at night, and told himself what time he wanted to get up. He was always awake when we wanted to be. No alarm clock, no stress. I envied that. So one weekend I tried it, I looked at the clock before I went to sleep and told myself to wake up at 6:30. I totally and completely expected to end up sleeping in. But it works. I was up, and awake, like the house was on fire at 6:30 am. I do it all the time now. I mean, I still have an alarm clock but I'm almost always awake before it goes off.
Weird, right? The thing is, I figure its programming. We can program ourselves to ignore loud noises, walk in our sleep, turn off alarm clocks without really being conscious and we can also program ourselves to wake up on time without assistance. Code it right.
