Edgar Vergara’s Story

So, long story short...
Edgar Vergara made the mistake of
slicing my palm open
My Advice to You is
if something feels like a bad idea and involves sharp objects, don't do it
Here's the whole story
So it was Saturday morning and I needed to fix some stuff on my car. Getting my tools together, I needed a sharp razor blade to cut off some old rubber exhaust hangers. Being as nothing ever gets thrown away at my mother’s house, I found myself using an old style box cutter that isn’t nearly as safe as the box cutters of today. Back in the day, instead of having a push button design, box cutters just had a metal sheath that you can push the blade in and out of. Seeing that the blade was old, I decided that it needed to be changed. I held the sheath with my left hand and tried to pull the blade off with my right, but it was stuck. I tried to pull a little harder, but it wouldn’t budge. “Spider sense tingling.” Maybe this is a bad idea and I might cut myself. I’ll try one more time and just be careful. Well, third time was a charm and the blade came out, only to slice a 2 inch incision across my palm reminiscent of a medical show on TLC. Blood starts gushing everywhere and it’s off to the emergency room. I now have 6 stitches across my palm to remind me of my stupidity.

Nice. I've cut myself about 10 times over with exacto knives but never managed to get a gash that bad.
OUCH!
When I worked at a sign shop an exacto knife rolled off the table, dropped blade first into my thigh and stuck straight in - just like in the movies. Although in the movies they stop bleeding quickly, I did not.
Ewwww. Spider senses are always right. I've sliced my finger with an exacto as well... but that was because it was 3 am, I had no sleep and it was the night before finals were due. Stoopid school!
