get your flu shot annually
Here's the whole story
You hear it every year, “Get your flu shot!” Despite all the public announcements and doctor recommendations, I’ve never gotten a flu shot. I partied a little more than usual this New Year’s and I undoubtedly picked up a virus from being amongst the crowds. Well, as it turns out, getting the flu sucks! After having to endure a weekend of 103 degree fevers and a full week of total misery at work, I am now an advocate of getting the flu shot.

You need to get a flu shot annually b/c the influenza virus adapts and changes... every year they need to figure out what strains are more prevalent and make a new formulation. So your flu shot from last year may be different this year.
