My Advice to You is
when dealing with any wiring, you might want to pay a bit more attention and maybe have someone look over your shoulder
Here's the whole story
Anyone who knew my first car (Nissan Maxima) knew the saga of the air conditioning. Not only did I cut the air conditioning wires, but once they were cut it never, ever, ever worked right again. I tried reconnecting the wires myself and it didn't work, I paid a Nissan dealership a ton of money to rewire the system (basically just soldering) and it didn't work and I even tried replacing the air conditioning unit itself!
I cannot stress enough the importance of being extremely thorough when dealing with any kind of wiring (automotive, home or other). This is probably one of the most valuable and expensive lessons I learned dealing with cars.

ahh the good days....yea i should have said dont cut it...instead of, what could go wrong.
