So, long story short...

While rod was working in a cubicle

rod made the mistake of

thinking success was a pre-requisite to making a huge positive social impact on the world

My Advice to You is

everyone has their "would-a-could-a-should-a" stories but it is possible to take action today and do the right thing for those around you.

Here's the whole story

Until recently, I always believed success in the traditional corporate world was a prerequisite to making a positive social impact on the world. Today, philanthropy and "doing good" among the already rich and famous appears to be very chique with Bill Clinton, Bono, Oprah, Rupert Murdoch and Bill Gates all working to make a positive social impact. But why wait until the end of your career to invest in making a positive social impact? I have no regrets about putting my traditional career trajectory on hold to focus on making a positive social impact and leveraging technology to encourage companies to do the right thing.

Why wait? You can make a positive impact now.
