My Advice to You is
if you hook up with coworkers, stay on your rung.
Here's the whole story
Now I’ve hooked up w/ coworkers before and it’s bound to happen, I’ve always said attraction is proximity. Well at my last job I was one guy with nine women and the temptation was too great not to see what could happen. I just didn’t know that something would end up happening with my boss. After we hooked up a few times, I just wasn’t feeling it. I thought she wanted a little more then I was willing to give (relationship wise) and I explained to her that I feel like things are forced and I gave her the “its not you its me” speech. I thought I was doing the right thing, because otherwise I would be just using her strictly as a hookup, and she was a pretty cool girl. Well she acted cool with it until we worked together the next day. She ended up being pretty bitchy with me every day we worked together and this went on for weeks. She was relentless and needless to say I don’t work with her anymore. And things got worse when I ended up hooking up w/ another coworker, which is a whole other story.

You did the right thing by ending it instead of using her strictly as a hookup. You told the truth instead of lying. But in the end, ending a relationship is like rejection for some, its unpleasant and some people take offense to it.
I've run across stuff like this before. Now I set the ground rules and expectations before it ever gets off the ground. If I just wanna be friends with a girl, I tell them up front - otherwise, without communication, they'll begin to think that I want a "relationship", get married and all that stuff. Slow-yo role girl!
I'd like to hear that other story too.

This sounds like one of those stories of misdeeds and mischief that runs rampant on the pages of Cosmo. (Apocryphal tale, perhaps?)
