So, long story short...

While BiggaB was DJing

BiggaB made the mistake of

not checking the crossfade before puttin vinyl on the platter

My Advice to You is

tighten up and be on point

Here's the whole story

i was out rockin the ones and twos at T.S.I. one fateful thursday night in February. The first jam i played was Del, "stay on your toes", from 'Both Sides of the Brain'. So the joint is rockin on point and i put some Heiroglyphics on the other table (del into Hiero equals fresh to me) to find the spot i wanna start it from, match up the tempos, and get ready for a smooth transition. This process is done in the headphones (while one record is playin out in the speakers you can find whatever you need on another record in the headphones where only you can hear it) and with the crossfader, which toggles between the left and right turntable (which ever is selected is what plays through the speakers and if it's in the middle it plays both). Unfortunately i forgot to check the crossfade before putting on the Hiero record and it just happened to be in the middle. This means if you're in the crowd diggin on some Del all of a sudden you hear me screwin around with another record like a jackass. Boy was i red in the face. Luckily it only went on for like 15 seconds before i noticed, but it was 15 seconds of shear, unadulterated, shame and wackness. On the posotive tip, once that out of the way i went on to rock what was my best set ever up to that point. All seamless transitions with some tasty scratchin on top.

Awesome. I'll make it a point one of these days to go out there.

One of these days...

Love TSI. Just got into it before I moved. Miss it dearly. Have yet to find one in Berlin.
